U.S. Airstrikes Target Houthi Sites Across Three Yemeni Provinces
U.S. fighter jets conducted a wave of airstrikes targeting Houthi militia sites and barracks across three Yemeni provinces, intensifying pressure on the Iran-backed group.
According to field sources, the strikes began late Saturday and continued into Sunday morning, focusing on key Houthi assets. Five attacks were launched on weapons depots, missile launch systems, and drones stationed at Hodeidah International Airport.
In the same province, U.S. forces struck the Al-Kathib naval base on the coast with two airstrikes and hit Al-Salif port. Additional raids targeted Houthi positions in the Al-Mandhar area of Al-Hawk district and Al-Fazah. Further north, over five strikes pounded militia sites in Madghal district and near Maas camp, close to Marib. Weapons storage facilities near Buraqish in Al-Jawf province, east of Sana’a, were also destroyed.
Military analysts acknowledged the strikes caused casualties but stressed their limited impact on crippling the Houthis’ military capacity. “These operations are ineffective without synchronized ground efforts by Yemeni and allied forces to fully liberate occupied provinces,” one source stated.
Critics warned that uncoordinated U.S. strikes risk deepening Yemen’s humanitarian crisis and infrastructure collapse, as the Houthis entrench themselves in urban areas. They emphasized the urgent need for a unified strategy between Yemeni factions and international partners to dismantle the group’s terrorist network.
