Seven Houthis were killed, and eight others were injured, as a result of the explosion of an improvised minefield in the south of Hodeidah province (western Yemen).
The explosion occurred while elements of the Houthi rocket force were passing through the Al-Kuweizi area in Al-Dhuraihmi directorate. These fields are the result of random planting of mines in militia-controlled areas. Local sources said.
The incidents of landmine explosions planted by the Iran-backed Houthis have been increasing randomly in the province of Hodeidah and the western coastal areas, even affecting Houthi elements themselves, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of their own members.
