Houthis turn to students after facing a significant challenge in recruitment

Houthis are facing a significant decline in recruitment among young people and students to join their ranks, despite intense recruitment campaigns launched by the militias to mobilize and rally support, with expectations of imminent decisive battles.

In an attempt to lure young people to join their ranks, sources said that the Houthis have started distributing military numbers to high school students, with enticing promises of receiving a salary within just twenty days. However, despite these promises, the response has been weak, reflecting an increasing awareness of the risks of joining the fighting and hesitancy to join the Houthi militias to defend their destructive project, which poses a threat to the Yemeni people and state.

The militias are trying to attract young people in various ways, including organizing events in schools, intensive meetings with school principals and education centers in the directorates, and submitting lists of students, but to no avail. Local sources said
