Explosion kills 25, injures others at a Houthi training camp in Yemen's Sanaa

by : Yemen Details

An explosion with an improvised explosive device occurred last Thursday at a Houthi training camp in the Al-Himatin area in Sana'a province, resulting in the death and injury of 25 young people. Local sources said.

Some of the victims' bodies are still being kept in the morgue of Hospital 48 in the south of the capital Sanaa.

This incident adds to the series of violations committed by the Houthi militia against the Yemeni youth, as they continue to recruit and throw them into the fires of death in service of their sectarian and tribal project.

Activists from Ibb province expressed their strong condemnation of what they described as "Houthi stubbornness" in insisting on involving the youth of the province to defend a project that only serves narrow sectarian agendas, disregarding the lives and future of the youth.

Ibb province has recently witnessed an increase in the number of victims among the youth who are being lured to fight in the ranks of the militia, amid growing popular discontent over their exploitation in this way.
